COOLING FAN MODULE
REMOVAL
(1) Remove upper radiator crossmember. Refer to
BODY for procedure.
(2) Disconnect fan electrical connector.
(3) Remove fan module attaching fasteners and
clips (Fig. 36).
(4) Remove fan module by lifting upward to clear
radiator.
INSTALLATION
(1) Install fan module.
(2) Install mounting clips and fasteners.
(3) Connect fan module electrical connector.
(4) Install upper radiator crossmember. Refer to
BODY for procedure.
TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER—EXTERNAL
REMOVAL
(1) Remove A/C condenser. Refer to HEATING
AND AIR CONDITIONING for procedure.
(2) Cut off attaching clips and remove transmis-
sion oil cooler.
INSTALLATION
(1) Attach cooler using new retainer straps.
(2) Install A/C condenser. Refer to HEATING AND
AIR CONDITIONING for procedure.
(3) Connect cooler hoses to cooler lines and tighten
hose clamps to 2 N·m (18 in. lbs.).
(4) Start engine and check transmission oil level.
Adjust level as necessary.
TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINES
REMOVAL
(1) Loosen hose clamps at radiator connections and
remove cooler hoses (Fig. 37).
(2) Remove lines from transmission.
(3) Remove lines from supports.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position cooler lines and connect to transmis-
sion. Torque flare nuts at transmission to 30 N·m
(260 in. lbs.).
(2) Connect cooler lines to supports.
(3) Connect cooler hoses to radiator (Fig. 37).
Tighten hose clamps to 2 N·m (18 in. lbs.).
(4) Start engine and check transmission fluid level.
Adjust as necessary.
