REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
BODY CONTROL MODULE
For service of the Body Control Module (BCM),
refer to Group 8E, Instrument Panel and Systems for
Removal and Installation.
NOTE: If the BCM is replaced, the VTSS must be
enabled in the new BCM via the DRB lllT, in order to
start the vehicle.
DECK LID SECURITY SWITCH
REMOVAL
(1) Open hood, disconnect and isolate the negative
battery cable remote terminal from the remote bat-
tery post.
(2) Refer to Group 23 Body, for Deck Lid Latch
Removal and Installation.
(3) Disconnect connector and remove deck lid lock
cylinder from bracket (Fig. 4), (Fig. 5), and (Fig. 6).
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedures.
LOCK CYLINDER SWITCH
REMOVAL
(1) Open hood, disconnect and isolate the negative
battery cable remote terminal from the remote bat-
tery post.
(2) Refer to Group 23 Body, for door trim and
water shield Removal and Installation.
(3) Disconnect wiring clip and pigtail wire connec-
tor (Fig. 7).
(4) Remove the Door Key Cylinder Switch from
door lock cylinder.
