IF Filter (analog)
Selects the analog IF signal path.
"Normal"
Standard high precision path
"Wideband"
Wideband path with 50 MHz lowpass filter
"Narrowband"
Narrowband path with 10.7 MHz bandpass filter
For a VNA system R&S ZNA67EXT, selecting the "IF Filter (analog)"
Cannot be selected if the analyzer uses Direct IF access as Receiver Input, in which
case you can select a Rear Input Path.
Exception: For a VNA system R&S ZNA67EXT, the "IF Filter (analog)" setting deter-
mines both the low-band path (frequencies below ~67 GHz via Direct generator/
receiver access) and the high band path (frequencies above ~67 GHz via Direct IF
access).
"IF Filter (analog)" Low band signal path High band signal path
"Normal" Standard high precision path Wideband path ("BP_279M")
"Wideband" Wideband path Wideband path
"Narrowband" Narrowband path Narrowband path ("LP_60M")
Note that if you select "Narrowband" for a R&S ZNA67EXT, you have to reduce the IF
frequency down to 30 MHz or lower.
Remote command:
[SENSe<Ch>:]IFPath
IF Filter (digital)
Selects the shape of the digital IF filter:
●
"Normal" selectivity filters provide a short settling time (recommended for fast mea-
surements).
●
"High Selectivity" filters have steep edges and the longer settling times. This filter
type is suitable for isolating adjacent signals which are separated by a small fre-
quency spacing.
Remote command:
[SENSe<Ch>:]BANDwidth[:RESolution]:SELect
[SENSe<Ch>:]BWIDth[:RESolution]:SELect
Dynamic Bw at Low Frequencies
If "Dynamic Bw at Low Frequencies" is enabled, then at receiver frequencies below
500 MHz the analyzer reduces the selected IF Bandwidth by a frequency-dependent
(dynamic) factor. The bandwidth reduction reduces the trace noise at small frequencies
and improves the accuracy of the time domain transform.
Remote command:
[SENSe<Ch>:]BANDwidth[:RESolution]:DREDuction
