8.4 erase
This command deletes an Auxiliary file.
Syntax
# erase <Auxiliary File>
Command Description
Auxiliary File Configures the type of Auxilliary file to be erased.
Note
View files using the dir command.
To make sure the file type is correctly entered, copy it from the dir command output.
The erase command only deletes the file from the device's RAM (and from the
device’s current usage). To delete the file permanently (from flash memory), enter the
write command after issuing the dir command.

Erasing the CPT file from flash memory:
# erase call-progress-tones
# write
