74.2 Data Services Commands
The following describes Data Services commands.
74.2.1 DNS Server
The following describes the DNS Server commands.
74.2.1.1 ip dns server
This command enables the DNS server on all Layer 3 interfaces. Use the no form of this
command to disable the DNS server on all Layer 3 interfaces.
Syntax
ip dns server all auto
ip dns server all static
no ip dns server all auto
Command Description
auto Automatically sets the DNS server address by the
response from the DHCP server. The interface must be set
to obtain IP addresses from DHCP.
static
Statically sets the DNS server address by the
configuration.
