76.6.4 shutdown
This command disables the specified tunnel interface. Use the no form of this command to
enable the interface.
Syntax
shutdown
no shutdown
No arguments exist for this command.
Default
When creating a new interface, it is disabled by default.

This example enables GRE 6.
# configure data
(config-data)# interface gre 6
(conf-if-GRE 6)# no shutdown
