74.5 LLDP and LLDP-MED Commands
The Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) is a Layer-2 protocol that advertises or discovers
neighbors on IEEE 802 local area networks.
LLDP for Media Endpoint Devices (LLDP-MED) is an extension to LLDP that functions
between endpoint devices and network devices.
74.5.1 lldp run
This command enables LLDP on LAN ports.

lldp run

This example enables LLDP on LAN ports:
(config-data)# lldp run
74.5.2 lldp holdtime
This command sets the aging timeout for LLDP peers.
Syntax
lldp holdtime <seconds>
Command Description
seconds Sets the aging timeout for LLDP peers in seconds.

Example
This example sets the aging timeout for LLDP peers to 10 seconds:
(config-data)# lldp holdtime 10
