Why does the Failed LED (red) remain solid on the Lucent Technologies Switch?
    • M
      Melissa BarrettAug 9, 2025
If the Failed LED (red) remains solid at the top of the SP module, it indicates that the OS is corrupt. To resolve this, the NMS operator must check the switch and download the OS. Refer to the appropriate switch software release notes for instructions.

What to do if the Marginal LED (yellow) remains solid on Lucent Technologies CBX 3500 Switch?
    • L
      Lori WilliamsAug 26, 2025
If the Marginal LED (yellow) remains solid at the top of the SP module, it means there is a marginal error condition on the switch. This could indicate the failure of a redundant power supply, fan module, or IOP, or that the SP is not configured. Check the status LEDs on the power supply, fan module, and IOP modules. If a failure is detected, replace the failed module. If the SP is not configured, download the configuration.
