9.4.1 Line Termination Mesh Node
• T The 40-WXC-C EXP-RX port is connected to the EXP-TX patch panel through an MPO-MPO
multicable.
Note The PP-MESH interconnects 40-WXC-C cards according to following rule: The EXP-TX port of
40-WXC-C in side “i” is connected to the 40-WXC-C EXP-j-RX port of all the other equipped or
provisioned 40-WXC-C cards. The side "i" goes from A to H and side "j" goes from ports 1 to 8 (Side
“j” has the same cardinality of the side letter (A<->1, B<->2, ....H<->8). These connections are relevant
for routing pourposes or to list the ports that are involved in an OCH-NC network. However, they are not
reported in CTC under node view -> Maintenance -> DWDM -> -> Mesh Patch Panel Internal
Patchcords.
Figure 9-22 shows one shelf from a line termination node. (Examples of line termination nodes in
four-degree and eight-degree mesh networks are shown in Figure 9-29 on page 9-38 and Figure 9-30 on
page 9-39.)
