Chapter 16, “Alarm and TCA Monitoring and

Describes Cisco Transport Controller (CTC) alarm
and threshold crossing alert (TCA) monitoring and
management.
Chapter 17, “Performance Monitoring” Performance monitoring (PM) parameters are used
by service providers to gather, store, set thresholds
for, and report performance data for early detection
of problems. In this chapter, PM parameters and
concepts are defined for transponder, muxponder,
and dense wavelength division multiplexing
