Usage
EnablingIGMPonaroutinginterfacerequiresboththeipigmpcommand(page13‐10),which
enablesitontherouter,andtheipigmpenablecommand(page13‐11),whichenablesitonan
interface.Oncethesecommandsareexecuted,thedevicewillstartsendingandprocessingIGMP
multicasttraffic.
IGMPisdisabledbydefault,bothgloballyandonaperinterfacebasis.
Example
ThisexampleshowshowtoenableIGMPontherouter:
B5(su)->router(Config)#ip igmp
ip igmp enable
UsethiscommandtoenableIGMPonaninterface.ThenoformofthiscommanddisablesIGMP
onaninterface.
Syntax
ip igmp enable
no ip igmp enable

UsethiscommandtosettheversionofIGMPrunningontherouter.Thenoformofthiscommand
resetsIGMPtothedefaultversionof2(IG MPv2).
