Usage
Bydefault,RIPversion2supportsautomaticroutesumm arization,whichsummarizes
subprefixestotheclassfulnetworkboundarywhencrossingnetworkboundaries.Disabling
automaticroutesummarizationenablesCIDR,allowingRIPtoadvertiseallsubnetsandhost
routinginformationontheEnterasysB5device.Toverifywhichroutesaresummarizedforan
interface,
usetheshowiproutecommandasdescribedin“showiproute”onpage19‐15.The
reverseofthecommandre‐enablesautomaticroutesummarization.Bydefault,RIPauto‐
summarizationaffectsbothRIPv1andRIPv2routes.
