Purpose

VLANregardlessofthe PVID.UptothreeuserscanbeconfiguredperGigabitport.
Pleaseseesection3‐31ofRFC3580fordetailsonconfiguringaRADIUSservertoreturnthe
desiredtunnelattributes.
AsstatedinRFC3580,“...itmaybedesirabletoallowaporttobeplaced
intoaparticularVirtualLAN(VLAN),definedin[IEEE8021Q],basedontheresultofthe
authentication.”
TheRADIUSservertypicallyindicatesthedesiredVLANbyincludingtunnelattributeswithinits
Access‐Acceptparameters.However,
theIEEE802.1Xauthenticatorcanalsobeconfiguredto
instructtheVLANtobeassignedtothesupplicantbyincludingtunnelattributeswithinAccess‐
Requestparameters.
ThefollowingtunnelattributesareusedinVLANauthorizationassignment, :
