11.6.2 Removing the Motherboard
As a guide, be prepared to remove the following items before removing the
motherboard:
■ Chassis cross brace
■ PCI card support
■ (Optional) DIMM cooling duct
■ (Optional) Rear fan
■ DIMMs
■ CPU fan and heat sink assembly
■ PCI cards
■ (Optional) NVRAM
■ Power cables
■ Signal cables
■ Interface cables
■ Motherboard fastening screws
1. Power off the system and open the chassis.
