(1) Remove the filler scuff plate [1].
CAUTION
DO NOT USE METAL TOOLS TO REMOVE THE SEALANT. AN
APPROVED TOOL WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE SKIN OF THE
AIRCRAFT.
(a) Use a hard resin phenolic scraper, STD-1064 to release the filler scuff plate [1] from the
structure.
(b) Remove the filler scuff plate [1] away from the plane.

SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM SOLVENTS. SOLVENTS ARE

DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Remove the scuff plate [4].
(a) Remove the screws [5] that attach the scuff plate [4] to the structure.
