F. Control Cabin Window Temperature Sensor Repairs
SUBTASK 30-41-00-440-001
(1) For No. 1 window, do these steps:
(a) Open this access panel:

(b) Put the applicable WNDSHLD SNSR switch(es) in the spare position.

(2) For No. 2 window, do the steps that follow:
(a) Disconnect the coil cord that is attached to the side window.
(b) If necessary, remove the side window (No. 2 Openable Window Removal,
TASK 56-12-11-000-801).
(c) Disconnect the wire connected to the primary sensor's D terminal located at the bottom
corner of the window.
(d) Connect the spare wire to the spare temperature sensor's D terminal.
1) Cap and stow the primary sensor's wire.
(e) Apply a layer of Dow Corning 340 heat sink compound, D50244, to the terminals with a
swab, G01659.
NOTE: The Dow Corning 340 heat sink compound, D50244, is intended to prevent
inadvertent loss of insulation between the sensor terminals and the metal frame
of the window, which can cause the window to overheat.
(f) If necessary, install the side window (No. 2 Openable Window Installation,
TASK 56-12-11-400-801).
(g) Connect the coil cord to the side window.

(3) Remove the safety tags and close these circuit breakers:

(4) Do a test on the temperature control sensor connections:
(a) Push the BIT/VERIFY switch on the window heat control unit.
