STABILIZER TO BODY FRONT SPAR SLIDING SEAL - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1) The removal of the stabilizer-to-body front spar sliding seal.
(2) The installation of the stabilizer-to-body front spar sliding seal (referred to as the sliding seal).
B. The sliding seal closes the opening where the attach fitting of the forward stabilizer moves. You can
do the approved repair of the seal when you remove the seal plates and, do this task: Apply The
Abrasion-Resistant Teflon Finish, BMS 10-86 Type I, TASK 51-21-81-370-801.

(1) Do this task: Remove Pressure from the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B,
TASK 27-31-00-800-802.

(2) Set the stabilizer trim cutout switches to the CUTOUT position.
NOTE: The stabilizer trim cutout switches are installed on the control stand.
