KEEL BEAM BLOWOUT PANEL - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. The blowout panel of the keel beam is on the centerline of the airplane, forward of the main wheel
well. The function of the panel is to release the pressure that is too high in the keel beam because of
a broken APU duct. The panel is hinged and will blow open when special attach rivets are sheared.
The panel has a deflector to keep the panel open in flight. Decals give the replacement rivets.
