VORTEX GENERATOR ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1) The removal of the vortex generator assembly.
(2) The installation of the vortex generator assembly.
B. The vortex generator assembly is installed on the left and right side of the fuselage above the
horizontal stabilizer. The function of the vortex generators are to increase the efficiency of the airflow
over the flying surface.

NOTE: When more than one tool part number is listed under the same "Reference" number, the
tools shown are alternates to each other within the same airplane series. Tool part numbers

WARNING
MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONNEL, AND EQUIPMENT ARE AWAY FROM
THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER. THE MOVEMENT OF THE HORIZONTAL
STABILIZER DURING MAINTENANCE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL,
AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Use the switches on the control wheel to set the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer to the
full down (airplane nose up) position.
