(3) Do this task: Supply External Power, TASK 24-22-00-860-813.

(4) Make sure that the thrust levers are in the IDLE position.

(5) Make sure that the WING ANTI-ICE switch on the engine and wing anti-ice control panel
(P5-11) is in the OFF position.

(6) Make sure that the VALVE OPEN light on the control panel is off.

(7) Make sure that the wing anti-ice valves are closed.
NOTE: The wing anti-ice valve has a position indicator which shows whether the valve is open
or closed.
G. Test the WING ANTI-ICE Switch and Indication

(1) Push and release the L VALVE OPEN light switch on the engine and wing anti-ice control panel
(P5-11).
(a) Make sure that the light comes on then goes off.

(2) Push and release the R VALVE OPEN light switch on the engine and wing anti-ice control
panel (P5-11).
(a) Make sure that the light comes on then goes off.

CAUTION
DO NOT KEEP THE WING TAI VALVE OPEN FOR MORE THAN 30 SECONDS
WHEN THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS PRESSURIZED. IF IT IS OPEN FOR
MORE THAN 30 SECONDS, THE HOT AIR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE
WING LEADING EDGE.
(3) Do this test to make sure that the engine and wing anti-ice panel commands the anti-ice valves
open:
