CAUTION
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU APPLY HAND PRESSURE TO PUT THE BLOWOUT
PANEL IN THE CORRECT POSITION. TOO MUCH PRESSURE CAN CAUSE
DISTORTION OF THE BLOWOUT PANEL.
(5) Before you install the blowout panel, apply a bead of sealant to the inner face of the panel lip
(Non-Removable Faying (Mated) Surface Seal Application, TASK 51-31-00-390-801).

(6) Install the blowout panels with one rivet, 3/32 in. (2.4 mm) diameter, in the aft outboard
location and one rivet, ⅛ in. (3.2 mm) diameter, in the forward outboard location.

(7) After the sealant dries, open and close the blowout panel to make sure it does not bond.

(8) Close and latch the blowout panel.
