GLIDE SLOPE ANTENNA DIRECTOR BAR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is the removal of the director bar for the glide
scope antenna. The second task is the installation of the director bar for the glide scope antenna.
B. The director bar for the glide slope antenna is an aluminum foil pressure-sensitive strip of tape. The
director bar is attached to the inner surface of the nose radome. It changes the radiation signals for
the glide slope antenna.

(1) Open this circuit breaker and install safety tag:

(2) Open the nose radome.
(a) Remove the screws which attach the radome to the clips on the fuselage.
CAUTION
DO NOT OPEN THE RADOME IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 15
KNOTS. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RADOME.
(b) Open the radome.
(c) Install the support rod to hold the radome open.
