WARNING
MAKE SURE THAT THE FORCE WITHOUT THE TOOL WEIGHT IS NO MORE
THAN THE SPECIFIED FORCE. A FORCE THAT IS MORE THAN THE
SPECIFIED FORCE CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE
TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Increase the lift force gradually until you can remove the bolt for inspection.
(a) Make sure that the lift force is not more than 1700 lbf (7562 N).
(b) Remove only one bolt at a time.
NOTE: For an inspection, remove one bolt at a time. The alignment of the fin will not be
changed.

(4) Do a General Visual inspection of the vertical fin rear spar fitting lugs and bolts at Sta 1088.
Inspect fuselage skin under vertical fin from Sta 1016 to 1088.

(6) Re-install the bolt removed for inspection.
(a) Do the applicable steps in Vertical Stabilizer (Fin) Installation, TASK 55-30-00-400-801.
