S = negative sign for negative values of temperature.
SUBTASK 47-00-00-720-020
(5) Do a check of the NGS temperature:
(a) Record the NGS temperature from BDU using the following messages:
1) GSE O2 SNS: XX.X% (or GSE O2 SNS: WARM during warmup mode).
NOTE: xx.x is the O2% reading from the Oxygen Sensor.
2) P: YY PSIA
NOTE: YY = ASM outlet current pressure.
3) T: SZZZ F
NOTE: ZZZ = ASM inlet current temperature.
S = negative sign for negative values of temperature.
(b) Make sure that the BDU temperature is 160 ±10°F (71.1 ±5.6°C).
SUBTASK 47-00-00-720-021
(6) Do a check of the NGS pressure:
(a) Record the NGS pressure from BDU.
NOTE: The BDU displays the pressure in psia.
(b) Record the left duct pressure from the dual duct pressure gage on the P5 panel.
NOTE: The dual duct pressure gage shows the pressure in psig.
(c) Compare the pressure value on BDU with the pressure value on the dual duct pressure
gage.
NOTE: Subtract 14.7 psi from the BDU display absolute pressure measurement in psia
to obtain gauge pressure in psig.
(d) Make sure that the BDU pressure is not lower than the dual duct pressure by 8 psig
(55 kPa) by comparing gage values.
SUBTASK 47-00-00-720-022
(7) Do a check of the NEA purity:
(a) BDU OXYGEN SAMPLE PRIMARY METHOD;
Record the oxygen percentage from the BDU (TASK 47-31-02-740-805).
NOTE: The oxygen percentage is shown as O2: XX.X%.
(b) OXYGEN ANALYZER SAMPLE ALTERNATE METHOD;
Record the PERCENT OXYGEN from the oxygen analyzer, COM-7456.
(c) Record the left duct pressure from the dual duct pressure gage on the P5 panel to
measure NGS inlet pressure in psig.
(d) Use the NGS PERF LO FLOW graph, Figure 502 to plot the NGS inlet pressure and NEA
purity (% O2) data point.
(e) Make sure that the NGS pressure/NEA purity data point is within the go-zone area of the
curve.
