6.3 Removing a PSU
I Note for servers using CMA (Cable Management Arm)
Since the installed CMA is blocking PSUs, additional steps are required
in order to remove or replace PSUs:
Ê
Unlock the CMA stopper.
Ê
Remove the CMA stopper with the mounted crossbar.
Ê
Support the CMA stopper, the crossbar and the CMA arm including
cables with your right hand.
Ê
Remove the PSU and install a PSU dummy module into the empty
bay.
Ê
Remount the complete assembly (CMA stopper, crossbar and CMA
arm) into the rail.
6.3.1 Preliminary steps
Ê
Remove the AC power cord from its cable bracket and disconnect it from the
PSU to be removed as described in section "Disconnecting the power cord"
on page 59.
V CAUTION!
In order to ensure uninterrupted operation, observe the following
instructions:

Before disconnecting a PSU, ensure that sufficient power supply
is available for your system configuration with the remaining
PSU(s).
Ê
Before disconnecting a power supply, ensure that the PSU in the
first or second slot is still active.
