9.5.2.5 Software configuration
If no DynamicLoM module was installed in the system before, proceed the
following steps:
Ê Start BIOS Configuration Utility .
Ê Press the [F2] key during POST phase.
Ê Select Advanced Menu .
Ê Select Onboard Devices Configuration .
Onboard CNA Enabled
Onboard CNA Oprom Enabled
Ê
In the Save & Exit menu select the required parameter and press the
[Enter] key.
Ê Start Emulex PXESelect Utility and confirm network settings. The
configuration of network settings should be performed by the customer.
Ê Press the [Ctrl] + [P] keys during POST phase.
Ê Press the [F6] key to continue.
Ê Perform all necessary configuration entries for all ports.
Ê Press the [ESC] key twice to get back to the Port Selection Menu .
Ê Press the [F7] key to save the settings.
Ê Press the [Y] key to exit the Utility menu.
Ê Configure the new MAC address in the operating system, if you have no
VIOM (ServerView Virtual-IO Manager) installed.
If you have VIOM installed, it is not necessary to configure the MAC address.
This is virtualized by VIOM.
Ê Only for D3245 with connection to SAN (Storage Area Network):
Ê Update the SAN Zoning, because the WWPN (World Wide Port Name)
address has been changed.
