Using a screw driver, bend the four mounting brackets of the middle
installation bay (bay 2) inwards (see close-up):

Bend in the lower two mounting brackets on each side of the drive cage.
Ê
Disengage the accessible drive locking bar as described in section "Opening
the accessible drive locking bar" on page 100.
