The system is installed with safety devices to help you avoid collisions during motorized movements:
Mechanical devices, such as slip clutches and motor current thresholds, are installed to limit harm
or damage during a collision.
Movement controls need to be connuously acvated by the operator to start and connue a
motorized movement. Releasing the control stops the movement. (The excepon to this is if the
alternang Float Tabletop mode is congured on your system. In this case, pressing and releasing
the pan handle alternately releases and acvates the tabletop brake.)
The BodyGuard system senses distances between the stand and other objects and slows the
movement speed when an object is detected within a certain distance of a sensor. The BodyGuard
system does not prevent all collisions, but if a collision occurs, the collision force will be lower
because of the reduced movement speed.
Collision switches on the lateral stand can detect a collision and stop motorized movements.
Monitor Ceiling Suspension
Use cauon when moving the monitor ceiling suspension. Take care not to trap the paent between
the monitor ceiling suspension and the table.
Electrophysiology Systems
Third-party Electrosphysiology systems may interfere with the BodyGuard sensor on the X-ray tube
cover. When such systems are acvated, the sensor on the X-ray tube cover is not reliable, and the
stand may collide with the Electrophysiology equipment under the tabletop.
2.4 Explosion Safety
Using the system in an environment for which it was not designed can cause re or explosion.
Do not use the system in the presence of explosive gases or vapors, such as certain anaesthec gases.
Do not use ammable or potenally explosive disinfectant sprays. For more informaon, see Cleaning
and Disinfecng (page 251).
2.5 Fire Safety
Fire regulaons for the type of medical environment being used should be fully observed, applied, and
enforced. Using the system in an environment for which it was not designed can cause re or explosion.
Fire exnguishers should be available for both electrical and non-electrical res. Only use re
exnguishers on electrical or chemical res that are specically labeled for those purposes. Using water
or other liquids on an electrical re can cause fatal or serious personal injury.
If it is safe to do so, switch o the system before aempng to ght a re. This reduces the risk of
electric shocks.
2.6 Electromagnec Compability
Medical electrical products require special precauons regarding electromagnec compability, and
shall be installed and put into service according to informaon provided in the accompanying
documents.
WARNING
The use of ac
cessories, transducers, and cables other than those specied for this equipment may
result in increased emissions or decreased immunity.
