If the foot switch is ed with a s
terile cover, do not t the cover too ghtly. This is to ensure that when
one pedal is pressed the cover does not acvate other pedals.
Spillage of Liquids
Prevent spillage of liquids, which may bring live parts of the equipment into contact with conducve
enclosures or direct contact with the operator, other personnel, or the paent.
5.9.2 Posioning the C-arm
You posion the C-arm in the working posion using the control module.
The following working posions are available:
• Head side
• Doctor side
• Nurse side
Rotaon and angulaon movements are motorized with variable speed. The greater the deecon of
the switch on the control module, the faster the C-arm moves. For normal operaon these speeds are 0
- 25 degrees per second (lower maximum speeds can be congured by technical support). If the stand
is not in its working range the maximum speeds are reduced to 8 degrees per second.
The direcon of movement is aected by the posion of the Orientaon switch on the underside of the
control module. For more informaon, see Selecng the Tableside Posion for the Control
Module (page 59).
The following procedure assumes the control module is posioned at the doctor side of the table.
Check the table lock status, and lock or unlock the table as appropriate during the procedure. For more
informaon, see Locking and Unlocking C‐arm and Table Movements (page 90).

1 If the table has the lt opon installed, ensure that the table is not lted.

3 Set the detector source-to-image distance to the maximum.
4 Place the paent on the table in the desired posion.
