c Aer the s
ystem has completely shut down, wait 10 seconds.
d On the review module, press and hold Power On.
NOTE Do not operate any of the controls while the system is powering on, as this may
inhibit the start-up process.
A cold restart of the system takes 6 minutes from iniaon of the cold restart unl all system
funconality is available.
4.3 Mains Power Failure
In the event of a mains power failure, the system behaves as follows:
• All stored paent and system data is preserved.
• All mechanical, non-balanced movements are blocked.
When the hospital’s back-up power system is acve, the system takes measures to conserve power.
Funcons that cause high power consumpon are disabled. Low-load uoroscopy is sll possible, as
well as paent and beam posioning funcons. This ensures that you can always free the paent from
the system.
NOTE The last acquired run may be lost if the power failure occurs during the acquision, or shortly
aer the run was acquired.
The system has an opon to power the system using an uninterrupble power supply. Please contact
technical support for details.
4.3.1 Uninterrupble Power Supply (Opon)
The system is powered via the hospital mains power supply. The stability of the mains power supply
may vary over me and can somemes be interrupted.
When the power supply is interrupted, the system stops. If this happens during a clinical procedure,
you should do one of the following:
• Transport the paent to another system to connue the procedure.
• Wait unl the hospital mains power supply is restored, and then restart the system to connue the
procedure.
To reduce the impact of interrupon to the power supply, the hospital can place an uninterrupble
power supply between the hospital mains and the system. An uninterrupble power supply allows you
to safely cancel or complete an ongoing procedure, if possible. When the hospital mains power supply
is interrupted or restored, the system does not need to be restarted and any procedures in progress are
not interrupted.
The following types of uninterrupble power supply are available:
• Full uninterrupble power supply, which allows the system to connue with full funconality for at
least 15 minutes.
• Low-load uninterrupble power supply: which allows the system to connue with low-load
uoroscopy for at least 15 minutes. Exposure is not possible and image quality is reduced.
Alternavely, an internal uninterrupble power supply is available as an opon that allows the system
to perform a controlled shutdown if the hospital mains power supply is interrupted. All data is backed
up during the shutdown.
