c Aer the s
ystem has completely shut down, wait 10 seconds.
d On the review module, press and hold Power On.
NOTE Do not operate any of the controls while the system is powering on, as this may
inhibit the start-up process.
A cold restart of the system takes 6 minutes from iniaon of the cold restart unl all system
funconality is available.
4.3 Mains Power Failure
In the event of a mains power failure, the system behaves as follows:
All stored paent and system data is preserved.
All mechanical, non-balanced movements are blocked.
When the hospital’s back-up power system is acve, the system takes measures to conserve power.
Funcons that cause high power consumpon are disabled. Low-load uoroscopy is sll possible, as
well as paent and beam posioning funcons. This ensures that you can always free the paent from
the system.
NOTE The last acquired run may be lost if the power failure occurs during the acquision, or shortly
aer the run was acquired.
The system has an opon to power the system using an uninterrupble power supply. Please contact
technical support for details.
4.3.1 Uninterrupble Power Supply (Opon)
The system is powered via the hospital mains power supply. The stability of the mains power supply
may vary over me and can somemes be interrupted.
When the power supply is interrupted, the system stops. If this happens during a clinical procedure,
you should do one of the following:
Transport the paent to another system to connue the procedure.
Wait unl the hospital mains power supply is restored, and then restart the system to connue the
procedure.
To reduce the impact of interrupon to the power supply, the hospital can place an uninterrupble
power supply between the hospital mains and the system. An uninterrupble power supply allows you
to safely cancel or complete an ongoing procedure, if possible. When the hospital mains power supply
is interrupted or restored, the system does not need to be restarted and any procedures in progress are
not interrupted.
The following types of uninterrupble power supply are available:
Full uninterrupble power supply, which allows the system to connue with full funconality for at
least 15 minutes.
Low-load uninterrupble power supply: which allows the system to connue with low-load
uoroscopy for at least 15 minutes. Exposure is not possible and image quality is reduced.
Alternavely, an internal uninterrupble power supply is available as an opon that allows the system
to perform a controlled shutdown if the hospital mains power supply is interrupted. All data is backed
up during the shutdown.
