20 Use the speed controller to control the speed of the table so that the contrast bolus remains close
to the boom of the image.
The speed controller is proporonal; the harder you press the switch, the faster the table top
moves.
21 Release the speed controller when the contrast reaches the paent's feet.
22 Stop the acquision by releasing the hand switch when the contrast bolus arrives.
Aer acquiring a contrast run, Bolus Chase Reconstrucon is started in the review window and the
acquired images are reconstructed. For more informaon, see Bolus Chase Reconstrucon (page 123).
6.13.2 Acquiring a Mask Run (Oponal)
Acquiring a mask run allows you to view subtracted images in Bolus Chase Reconstrucon.
1 For opmal subtracon results, ensure that the paent remains immobilized as much as possible
during the whole procedure.
2 Aer acquiring the contrast run, wait 30-60 seconds before acquiring the mask run to reduce the
possibility of imaging venous lling.
3 Press and hold the speed control hand switch unl the table has returned to the start posion.
4 Start acquision by pressing and holding the hand switch.
The tabletop automacally repeats the movement from the contrast run.
5 Release the hand switch when the exposure stops.
Exposure stops automacally when the same number of images have been acquired as during the
contrast run.
Bolus Chase Reconstrucon automacally uses the mask run to display subtracted images.
6 While reviewing the run, you can use Subtracon On / O to view subtracted images or contrast
images.
You can acquire addional mask runs, if desir
ed.
