20 Use the speed controller to control the speed of the table so that the contrast bolus remains close
to the boom of the image.
The speed controller is proporonal; the harder you press the switch, the faster the table top
moves.
21 Release the speed controller when the contrast reaches the paent's feet.
22 Stop the acquision by releasing the hand switch when the contrast bolus arrives.
Aer acquiring a contrast run, Bolus Chase Reconstrucon is started in the review window and the
acquired images are reconstructed. For more informaon, see Bolus Chase Reconstrucon (page 123).
6.13.2 Acquiring a Mask Run (Oponal)
Acquiring a mask run allows you to view subtracted images in Bolus Chase Reconstrucon.
1 For opmal subtracon results, ensure that the paent remains immobilized as much as possible
during the whole procedure.
2 Aer acquiring the contrast run, wait 30-60 seconds before acquiring the mask run to reduce the
possibility of imaging venous lling.
3 Press and hold the speed control hand switch unl the table has returned to the start posion.
4 Start acquision by pressing and holding the hand switch.
The tabletop automacally repeats the movement from the contrast run.
5 Release the hand switch when the exposure stops.
Exposure stops automacally when the same number of images have been acquired as during the
contrast run.
Bolus Chase Reconstrucon automacally uses the mask run to display subtracted images.
6 While reviewing the run, you can use Subtracon On / O to view subtracted images or contrast
images.
