Passing the System on to Another User
If the system is passed to another organizaon, it must be in its complete state, including all product
support documentaon.
You should make the new user aware of the support services that Philips Medical Systems provides.
Before passing on the system or taking it out of service, all paent data must be deleted and
unrecoverable on the system. It should be backed up elsewhere, if necessary.
Passing medical electrical products on to a new responsible organizaon may create serious technical,
medical, and legal risks. Such risks can arise even if the system is given away. A responsible organizaon
is strongly advised to seek advice from a Philips representave before comming to passing on any
product.
Once the system has been passed on to a new user, the previous user may sll receive important
safety-related informaon. In many jurisdicons there is a clear duty on the previous user to
communicate such safety-related informaon to new users. Previous users who are unable or
unprepared to do this should inform Philips Medical Systems about the new user.
