{<balance-bands>|
<prefer- 5ghz>|
<force-5ghz>|
<disable>
Assigns the dual-band capable clients to the 5
GHz band on dual-band. It reduces co-
channel interferenc e and increases available
bandwidth for dual- band clients, because
there are more channels on the 5 GHz band
than on the 2.4 GHz band. You can configure
any of the following band- steering modes:
balance- bandsTo allow the APs to
balance the clients across the two 2.4
GHz and 5 GHz radio and to utilize the
available bandwidth.
prefer- 5ghzTo allow the AP to steer the
client to 5 GHz band (if the client is 5 GHz
capable). However, the AP allows the cli-
ent connection on the 2.4 GHz band if the
client persistently attempts for 2.4 GHz
association.
force- 5ghzTo enforce 5 GHz band
steering mode on the APs, so that the 5
GHz capable clients are allowed to use
only the 5 GHz channels.

channel-quality-
aware-arm-disable
With this parameter, ARM ignores the inter-
nally calculated channel quality metric and
initiates channel changes based on thresh-
olds defined in the profile. ARM chooses the
channel based on the calculated interference
index value.
Disabled
channel-quality-
threshold <thresh>
Specifies the channel quality percentage
below which ARM initiates a channel change.
0 - 100 70
channel-quality-
wait-time <secs>
Specifies the time that the channel quality is
below the channel quality threshold value to
initiate a channel change.
NOTE:
If current channel quality is below the
specified channel quality threshold for this
wait time period, ARM initiates a channel
change.
1 - 3600 120
client-aware
Enables the client aware feature. When ena-
bled, the AP will not change channels for the
Access Points when clients are active, except
for high priority events such as radar or ex-
cessive noise. The client aware feature must
be enabled in most deployments for a stable
WLAN.
