LOGGING COMMANDS
LOG
PERMANENT (FILTER)
Default By default the buffered log has a filter to select messages whose severity level is
notices (5) or higher. This filter may be removed using the no variant of this
command.

The name of a program to log messages from, either one of the following predefined program
names (not case-sensitive), or another program name (case-sensitive) that you find in the log
output:
rsvp Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP)
dot1x IEEE 802.1X Port-Based Access Control
lacp Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP)
stp Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
rstp Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP)
mstp Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP)
imi Integrated Management Interface (IMI)
imish Integrated Management Interface Shell (IMISH)
epsr Ethernet Protection Switched Rings (EPSR)
rmon Remote Monitoring
loopprot Loop Protection
dhcpsn DHCP snooping (DHCPSN)
Filter messages by syslog facility.
Specify one of the following syslog facilities to include messages from:
kern Kernel messages
user Random user-level messages
mail Mail system
daemon System daemons
auth Security/authorization messages
syslog Messages generated internally by syslogd
lpr Line printer subsystem
news Network news subsystem
uucp UUCP subsystem
cron Clock daemon
authpriv Security/authorization messages (private)
ftp FTP daemon
msgtext Select messages containing a certain text string.
<text-
string>
A text string to match (maximum 128 characters). This is case sensitive, and must be the last
text on the command line.
