This example indicates a user-level message (1) with severity 7 (debug) on a system that
is not a switch and generated by component MSTP running in thread ID 2110 on Aug 24
05:34:05 by line 318 of file mstp_api.c. This is the 237th message logged. Messages
logged to a collector or relay through syslog use a format identical to the previous
message.

otal number of Messages: For the message log, only the latest 200 entries are
displayed on the page.
Enable or Disable the Command Log
To enable or disable the command log:
1. Launch a web browser.
2. In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login window opens.
3. Enter the user name and password.
The default admin user name is
admin and the default admin password is blank, that is,
do not enter a password.
4. Click the Login button.
The System Information page displays.
5. Select Monitoring > Logs > Command Log Configuration.
6. Use Admin Mode to enable/disable the operation of the CLI command logging by selecting
the corresponding radio button.
7. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.
Enable or Disable Console Logging
This allows logging to any serial device attached to the host.
To enable or disable console logging:
1. Launch a web browser.
2. In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login window opens.
3. Enter the user name and password.
