A.4 Revised Options Concept
The R&S SMW uses revised options concept.
●
The input of digital baseband signals Baseband Inputs is included in the
R&S SMW-B10, i.e. no additional option like R&S SMU-B17 is required.
The R&S SMW does not support input of analog signals in the baseband genera-
tor. Analog I/Q signals are input directly to the I/Q modulator.
●
The features of the 3GPP FDD digital standard are split into two main options, the
R&S SMW-K42 (as in R&S SMU) and one enhanced option, R&S SMW-K83.
●
The features of the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g digital standard are included in the
R&S SMW-K54 WLAN a/b/g/n, i.e. no additional option like R&S SMU-K48 is
required. The features of the IEEE 802.11 ac digital standard, however, require the
additional option R&S SMW-K86.
