"Differential"
●
If "RF Envelope > On"
The inverted envelope signal Ē is output at the I BAR connectors.
●
If "RF Envelope > Off"
The analog I/Q signal components are output at the I/Q BAR con-
nectors.
"Single-Ended"
●
If "RF Envelope > On"
The envelope signal E is output at the I connectors.
●
If "RF Envelope > Off"
Single-ended output at the I/Q connectors.
You can define a bias between the output signal and ground.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:IQ:OUTPut[:ANALog]:TYPE on page 1053
Mode
Selects the mode for setting the outputs, independent or together.
If R&S SMW-B9 is installed, both paths use the same "Mode".
"Fixed"
The I/Q signal components settings are predefined fix values:
●
"Bias (EMF)" = "Offset (EMF)" = 0V
●
"I/Q Level Vp (EMF)"
– Single ended mode: "I/Q Level Vp (EMF)" = 1 V
– Differential mode: "I/Q Level Vp (EMF)" = 2 V
"Variable"
Option: R&S SMW-K16/-K17
Enables modification of the I/Q signal components settings.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:IQ:OUTPut[:ANALog]:MODE on page 1054
I/Q Level Vp EMF
In "Mode > Variable", sets the output voltage for the I and Q signal components.
The value range is adjusted so that the maximum overall output voltage does not
exceed 4V, see "Maximum overall output voltage" on page 186.
Remote command:
[SOURce<hw>]:IQ:OUTPut:LEVel on page 1054
Couple I/Q Bias
In "Variable Mode", couples the bias setting of the I signal and the Q signal compo-
nent. With activated coupling, the settings of the I signal component automatically
apply to the Q signal component.
If R&S SMW-B9 is installed, the components are always coupled.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:IQ:OUTPut[:ANALog]:BIAS:COUPling[:STATe] on page 1054
Bias (EMF)
If a bias is enabled, a DC voltage is superimposed upon the I or Q signal.
If R&S SMW-B9 is installed, both paths use the same "Bias" value.
