lists.

10.6 Exporting Remote Command Lists
To set specific instrument settings or perform tasks automatically, you can create
scripts that contain the settings in the form of remote control command sequences.
You can record or manually create SCPI lists, or generate a list of the current instru-
ment state in one step, see Chapter 12.15, "How to Record / Create SCPI Lists",
on page 752.
Completed scripts are stored in files and possibly converted to different formats,
depending on the used language of the source code.
The R&S SMW supports the following commonly used languages:
●
Plain SCPI: *.txt
●
MATLAB: *.m
●
NICVI: *.c
It is also possible to convert the SCPI command list to a user-specific language, see
Chapter 12.16, "How to Convert and Save SCPI Lists", on page 756.
10.7 Loading, Importing and Exporting Lists
The R&S SMW provides built-in editors for creating list files, for example for the list
mode or lists with user correction data. You can also create or evaluate them with an
external application. The instrument provides interfaces with the following functionality:
●
Import and export list files in a standard ASCII format file
●
Load files with modulation and control information
●
Load of internally or externally generated waveform file
Lists are saved and loaded in the corresponding dialogs. For example, the user correc-
tion data list is created and stored in the "User Correction" dialog.
Waveform files are created with the signal generation software R&S WinIQSIM2 or in
the dialogs of some of the digital standards.
