information displays show real-time statistics, or you can configure the display to show a snapshot of
real-time statistics (as in earlier versions of the software).
Commands that require you to enter one or more port numbers use the parameter
<port_list> in the
syntax. On a modular switch, a
<port_list> can be a list of slots and ports. On a stand-alone switch, a
<portlist> can be one or more port numbers. For a detailed explanation of port specification, see “Port
Numbering” in Chapter 1, “Command Reference Overview.”
