1 (square) = baseband signal source
2 (square) = fading simulator; the representation is highly abstract and does not depict the actual signal pro-
cessing and signal flow
1 (circle) = Baseband signals or basebands
2 (circle) = Streams
Entity 1/2 = two self-contained independent systems, consisting of their own baseband part with possible
fading simulator and noise generator and an RF part
The Figure C-3 is an example of an Advanced mode configuration with two entities,
Entity 1 and 2, and also shows the functional blocks belonging to each of them.
