Set according to Standard
Selects a predefined communication standard.
"Predefined communication standard"
Selects a predefined communication standard.
A subset of parameters is automatically adjusted: "Modulation Type",
"Symbol Rate", "Filter" and "Coding".
Refer to Table 4-11 for an overview of the available standards and
the associated settings of the modulation parameters.
"User"
Set automatically, this value indicates a modification made on at least
one of the parameters.
Use the "Save/Recall" function to store and recall customized set-
tings.
"CW in Baseband"
Generates a continuous wave signal as a BPSK modulated signal
with "Data Source = All 1".
This signal is useful for phase coherence applications, as well as a
test signal for testing and debugging.
Note: The selection "CW in Baseband" changes also the data source
to "All 1". Subsequent change to a communication standard maintains
this data source.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:DM:STANdard on page 894
Symbol Rate
Selects the symbol rate. The value range of this parameter depends on the selected
modulation type; the range is automatically redefined.
An error message appears if the selected symbol rate is outside of the redefined
range. The symbol rate is set automatically to the maximum allowed value for the new
modulation.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:DM:SRATe on page 893
Coding
Selects the coding (see Chapter 4.5.1.5, "Supported Coding Schemes", on page 248).
The dialog shows only the coding settings that are permissible for the selected modula-
tion type and installed options (see Table 4-14). All other coding methods are grayed
out.
A subsequent modification to a modulation type for which the selected coding is not
available, automatically disables the coding ("Coding = Off").
