Parameters
seconds: Dead interval of the OSPF neighbor. It is in seconds and ranges from 1 to 65535.
Description
Use the ospf timer dead command to configure the dead interval of the OSPF neighbor.
Use the undo ospf timer dead command to restore the default.
By default, the dead interval is
z 40 seconds for the OSPF peers of p2p and broadcast interfaces
z 120 seconds for those of p2mp and nbma interfaces
The dead interval of OSPF peers means that, within this interval, if no Hello message is received from
the peer, the peer will be considered to be invalid. The value of dead seconds should be at least four
times of that of the Hello seconds. The dead seconds for the interfaces on the same network segment
must be identical.

Examples
# Set the peer dead interval on the interface VLAN-interface 10 to 80 seconds.
<Sysname> system-view
System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.
[Sysname] interface Vlan-interface 10
[Sysname-Vlan-interface10] ospf timer dead 80
ospf timer hello

ospf timer hello seconds

seconds: Interval, in seconds, at which an interface transmits hello packet. It ranges from 1 to 255.
