6. Push the tabs on the ends of the connector inward to lock the connector in place.
7. Thread the ribbon through the slot on the front panel. See Duplex reliability ribbon cable
connection on page 781. Duplex reliability in the S8700-Series configuration consists of the
two media servers.
8. Insert the TN775D Maintenance circuit pack part way into the MAINTENANCE slot.
9. Attach the other end of the short ribbon cable to the top connector on the component side of
the TN775D circuit pack. The red line must be on the bottom. See Duplex reliability ribbon
cable connection on page 781.
