8.1.9.6 Double Tagging Operation
Step 1
If there is no SPVLAN Tag on received packet, SPVLAN Tag is added.
SPVLAN Tag = TPID : Configured TPID
VID : PVID of input port
Step 2
If a received packet is tagged with CVLAN, the switch transmits it to uplink port changing
to SPVLAN + CVLAN. When TPID value of received packet is same with TPID of port, it
recognizes as SPVLAN, and if not as CVLAN.
Step 3
If Egress port is Access port (Access port is configured as Untagged), remove SPVLAN. If
egress port is uplink port, transmit as it is.
Step 4
The V5808 switch has 0x8100 TPID value as default and other values are used as
hexadecimal number.
