How to Perform the ISSU Process
The following example shows how the forced option places the system in RPR mode:
Switch# show issu state detail
                               Slot = 5
                           RP State = Active
                         ISSU State = Load Version
                     Operating Mode = Stateful Switchover
                      Current Image = bootflash:old_image.bin
          Pre-ISSU (Original) Image = bootflash:old_image.bin

                           RP State = Standby
                         ISSU State = Load Version
                     Operating Mode = Stateful Switchover
                      Current Image = bootflash:new_image.bin
          Pre-ISSU (Original) Image = bootflash:old_image.bin
         Post-ISSU (Targeted) Image = bootflash:new_image.bin
The following example shows the redundancy mode as RPR:
