Dell MXL 10GbE - Show Interfaces Description

show interfaces configured — displays any interface with a non-default
configuration.
show interfaces description
Display the descriptions configured on the interface.
Syntax
show interfaces [interface] description
Parameters
interface (Optional) Enter one of the following keywords and slot/port
or number information:
• For Loopback interfaces, enter the keyword loopback
then a number from 0 to 16383.
• For the management interface on the RPM, enter the
keyword ManagementEthernet then the slot/port
information. The slot range is 0-0 and the port range is 0.
• For the Null interface, enter the keywords null 0.
• For a Port Channel interface, enter the keywords port-
channel then a number. The range is 1 to 128.
• For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet then the slot/port information.
• For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE then the slot/port information.
• For VLAN interfaces, enter the keyword vlan then a
number from 1 to 4094.

Field Description
Interface Displays the type of interface and associated slot and port
number.
OK? Indicates if the hardware is functioning properly.
Status States whether the interface is enabled (up) or disabled
(administratively down).
Protocol States whether IP is enabled (up) or disabled (down) on the
interface.
