3. Disassembly/assembly warning/caution items
3.1Removal/installing of PWBs
WARNING
• When performing disassembly, be sure to unplug the
power cord from the power outlet.
When the power cord is inserted into the power outlet,
some units are still powered even if the POWER switch
is turned OFF. A risk of electric shock exists.
WARNING
• To prevent electric shock, do not touch the hazards area
on DC power supply unit with the lid opening for 12 hours
after unplugging the power cord.
The voltage may take time to drop after unplugging the
power cord if the device is experiencing a malfunction.
CAUTION
• When removing or installing a circuit board or other
electrical component, refer to “Handling of PWBs” and
follow the corresponding removal or installing procedures.
• The removal procedures given in the following omit the
removal of connectors and screws securing the circuit
board support or circuit board.
• Where it is absolutely necessary to touch the ICs and other
electrical components on the board, be sure to ground your
body.
