3.1Configuration

• A finisher (FS-P04) is composed of a clincher, a staple cartridge and a safety switch, and the power supply is provided from the MFP main

body.

3.2Paper detection

• The reflective sensor installed in the clincher detects the end of paper and execute stapling.

NOTE

▪ Since the reflective sensor cannot detect the end of the paper with solid black image on the back side, or the paper without

border, stapling may not be executed.

3.3Safety switch

• When opening the finisher cover, the safety switch turns off to shut off the power supply from the main body. For safety reasons, the

clincher is designed not to operate when replacing a staple cartridge or getting rid of a jam of staples.
