(4)Waste toner bottle-in-position detection mechanism
The waste toner bottle set sensor detects mounting condition of the waste toner bottle. It prevents the machine from being operated with
the waste toner bottle yet to be mounted in place.
When the waste toner bottle is removed, the waste toner bottle set sensor is unblocked, which causes the machine to determine that the
waste toner bottle is yet to be mounted.
The machine, on determining that the waste toner bottle is yet to be mounted in place, prohibits initiation of a new print cycle.
When the waste toner bottle is mounted, the waste toner bottle set sensor is blocked, which causes the machine to determine that the
waste toner bottle is mounted in place.
The machine, on determining that the waste toner bottle is mounted in place, resets the waste toner bottle yet-to-be-mounted display,
enabling initiation of a new print cycle.

(5)Waste toner bottle full detection
The waste toner near full sensor provided on the front side is used to determine the amount of waste toner accumulated in the waste
toner bottle.
(a)Waste toner near-full
The toner collecting screw provided in the waste toner bottle conveys waste toner in the bottle onto the central portion of the bottle.
There is the detection window for detecting a waste toner near-full condition provided at the central portion of the waste toner bottle.
When the waste toner conveyed onto the central portion of the bottle exceeds a predetermined height, waste toner spills over the
waste toner near-full condition detection section.
The waste toner near-full condition is determined when the waste toner accumulated in the waste toner full condition detection section
blocks the waste toner full sensor for a predetermined time or longer and a predetermined number of paper are printed.
Execution timing
The waste toner bottle near-full detection control is performed under any of the following conditions:
“The waste toner bottle set sensor determines that the waste toner box is mounted.”
“During a print cycle”
“During execution of image stabilization control”
