wlan ht channel width (access point)
Description
With this command, you specify the channel bandwidth. With IEEE 802.11n, data can be
transferred via two directly neighboring channels (channel bonding). The two 20 MHz
channels are put together to form one channel with 40 MHz channel bandwidth
Note
This command is available only in access point mode.
You are in the Interface Configuration mode of the WLAN interface.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli (config-if-wlan-0-X)#
Call up the command with the following parameters:
wlan ht channel width { HT-20 | HT-40-UP | HT-40-DOWN }
The parameters have the following meaning:
HT-40-UP Channel bandwidth 40 MHz. The configured channel and the neighbor-
ing channel above it are used. (default setting)
HT-40-DOWN
Channel bandwidth 40 MHz. The configured channel and the underlying
neighboring channel are used.
Note
Channel bandwidth 40 MHz and frequency band 2.4 GHz
If the access point detects
another access point on the configured channel or on neighboring
channels, the access point changes the channel bandwidth from 40 MHz to 20 MHz. If you
set a "free" channel on the access point, the access point uses the channel bandwidth 40
MHz.
The channel bandwidth is set.
You display the setting with the show wlan ap <wlan 0/X> command.
